The Gary Hawk Kutmaster knives are designed and built to deliver years of service in the field, or be displayed in the den or office as a handsome addition to any collection. Fully functional lock-back pocket knives, they embody the standards of quality and durability for which Utica Cutlery products are known around the world, complemented by the magnificent illustrations of one of America's leading outdoor artists. Utica's exclusive sculptured metal handles bring each detailed outdoor scene to life, and make the knives look and feel as rugged as they really are.

The knives in this special collection are crafted in the U.S. A. from the finest materials. They feature 400 series stainless steel blades, springs and lock bars, and handles made of 8515 red brass. Hardened to C59-60 on the Rockwell Scale, the 2 1/4 inch blades are taper-ground and hand-honed to maintain a sharp edge, while resisting corrosion. Each blade is identified with a product number and etched with the title of the scene on the handle along with the signature of the artist.The lock-back function incorporates a safety release to protect from accidental closing.

Owners of this distinctive set will enjoy four superb illustrations Gary Hawk produced especially for these knives, as commissioned by Utica Cutlery. Making them even more exceptional is the fact that each represents a moment or image very special to the artist himself. Here are his own descriptions:

	Mallards on Manns Cove "I love being outdoors and enjoying nature. While visiting Manns Cove, I was inspired to paint Mallards on Manns Cove. It was really challenging to capture the cool, crisp fall day with the mallards gliding in to feed."
	Whitetail Country "A few years ago as we were packing by horse up into the high country, we spotted a couple of whitetail deer peacefully grazing in a meadow. This set the mood for my scene Whitetail Country."
	On Point "Having grown up in some of the finest quail country anywhere, hunting quail became a way of life. One of the most exciting times for a hunter is when a tight covey is flushed over a point. I've tried to capture this drama in the scene On Point."
	Just Fishin' "During the cold months, I spend many enjoyable hours cleaning and checking tackle, changing lines, planning that first fishing trip, and dreaming about hooking one of those lunkers that would make a great wall-hanger. It was that vision that inspired Just Fishin'."

The knives of the Gary Hawk Series are packaged in attractive individual boxes or, when purchased as a full set, are available with a richly lined display case, made in America of polished walnut. The case is hinged, laser-carved top, to identify its valued contents and enhance the completed package's vigorous good looks.
